1. Who we are
Dev-Doc (the “Service”), available at app.dev-doc.io anddev-doc.io, is operated by Innovirtual Software GmbH, Kommerner Str. 141, 53879 Euskirchen,Germany, registered at the District Court (Amtsgericht) Bonn, HRB 25488, VAT ID DE 332453849 (“we”, “us”). Contact:info@dev-doc.io.
These Terms govern your use of the Service. By creating an account or purchasing credits you agree to them. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.
2. The Service
Dev-Doc analyses software repositories that you provide (via a repository URL or a ZIP upload) and generates documentation with the help of artificial intelligence, including project overviews, module detection, architecture (C4) diagrams, stakeholder canvases, architecture decision records and source-code explanations.
We continuously develop the Service and may add, change or remove features, provided the core purpose of any credits you have already purchased is preserved.
3. Accounts
- You sign in with a third-party identity provider (currently GitHub or Google). You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure.
- You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old, or of legal age to enter into contracts in your country.
- One person or organisation may not create multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits.
4. Credits and prices
- The Service is paid with pre-paid credits. AI operations consume credits according to the selected AI model and the number of tokens processed, as shown on the Pricing page and in your usage overview in the app.
- New accounts receive 40 free credits for testing. Free credits have no cash value and cannot be refunded or transferred.
- Purchased credits do not expire while your account exists. Credits are not transferable between accounts and cannot be exchanged for cash, except as described in our Refund Policy.
- The price shown at checkout is binding for that purchase. Price changes apply only to future purchases.
- An AI run cannot be started without sufficient credits. If a run fails because of an error on our side, credits consumed by the failed part will be credited back on request.
5. Payment through Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. When you buy credits, your purchase contract is concluded with Paddle under thePaddle Buyer Terms, and Paddle calculates, collects and remits the applicable sales tax/VAT and issues your invoice or receipt. Your use of the Service itself remains governed by these Terms.
6. Your content
- You keep all rights to the source code, files and other material you submit (“Your Content”) and to the documentation generated from it.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, copy and process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you, including transmitting relevant parts of it to the AI model providers described in our Privacy Policy.
- You confirm that you have the right to submit Your Content and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights, licences, confidentiality obligations or laws.
- You can delete your projects at any time in the app. When you delete a project, we delete Your Content and the generated results for it, except where we must keep data for legal reasons.
7. AI-generated output
Documentation, diagrams and explanations are generated automatically by AI models and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They are an aid, not a guarantee of correctness, security or compliance. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it, in particular for safety-critical, security-relevant or legal decisions.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- submit content you are not authorised to process, or malware;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts or our infrastructure, or circumvent credit metering or usage limits;
- overload the Service, or use automated means to access it except through features we provide;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of export-control or sanctions laws.
We may suspend accounts that breach these rules, after notice where reasonable.
9. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates and circumstances beyond our control may cause downtime.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation (one whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible and on which you may regularly rely), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Otherwise our liability is excluded. These limits also apply to our employees and agents.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by writing toinfo@dev-doc.io. We may terminate accounts with 30 days’ notice, or immediately for serious breach of these Terms. If we terminate for reasons other than your breach, we will refund unused purchased credits.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes by e-mail or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you object, you may close your account and we will refund unused purchased credits.
13. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
